Not sure how long it's been there for but it is very big-other side of the river from where you get on about 50m downstream-you'll probably see it or something but just incase it is on 6 and underwater and you make the ferry and pull you deck above it...good thing to know.
Yeah, get your saw out helena!
March 12, 2009 - 10:14 — The DudeI saw this big tree you speak of the other day and wondered if I'd just forgotten about it, but I think you're right and it must be fairly new. On 2 pipes its dead easy to see and avoid, but on 4 or more pipes its good to know its there. So to recap - the tree is in the water on river left. So once you put in, you need to ferry across to river left below the tree, but above the munchy hole ;)
Big tree upper spean
March 12, 2009 - 11:24 — BoaterGirlThink this tree has actually been there a while, but still a good warning post for anyone whose not done the river. I've done it up to 4 pipes and it was fine. You can see it and there is enough time and space between going right to get round the branches and being able to cut back in left to get the correct line round everyone's favourite big munchy hole!! Could be quite a different case on 6, although not sure if a line opens up on river right when it gets really high??..........
