Boofing is one of the most important actions in kayaking. Master the boof and you will go a long way towards avoiding many of the beatings which you would undoubtedly otherwise get.

Some Thoughts On...... Rolling!

Can you breathe underwater? No? Then you're going to want a darn fine roll if you ever want to get anywhere with kayaking! I've always said that rolling is the most important skill in our sport and I think this is especially the case for beginners. I haven't heard a good coach say otherwise.

Some Thoughts On..... Bowstalls and Flatwater

I couldn't do any flat water moves at all until about a month ago. Then I tried something which changed everything...and I thought to myself: Wow! Why didn't anybody tell me to do that?

Now I'm going to tell you, and hopefully it will make as much difference to your paddling as it has to mine.

Finding White Water in Scotland
